Ľuboš Balažovič

My journey into filmmaking began at the University of New York in Prague, where I developed my critical thinking and creative writing foundation, before completing my studies at Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Slovakia. Beyond behind-the-camera mechanics, I’ve always been fascinated by the deeper craft of video; for my Master’s degree, I became the first Slovakian to write academically on the practices and theories of color grading.

Over eight years as a freelance filmmaker, my primary focus was bridging B2B objectives with creative, story-driven production. My background is grounded in live-action documentaries, commercial formats, and live event audiovisuals. Highlights along the way include directing an award-winning student film that took top honors at two Slovak film festivals, as well as directing Posledný Povstalec, a documentary that went on to air on Czech National TV – ČT2.

At CloudTalk, my core focus is transforming complex, traditionally dry B2B topics into dynamic, visually striking visual narratives. I manage the complete pipeline of our YouTube presence—handling preproduction, filming, editing, and strategic analytics.

Taking on this role involved a personal leap. Despite historically being camera-shy, I stepped up to become the on-camera face of CloudTalk’s YouTube channel. Facing that challenge head-on has allowed us to humanize our brand presence, accelerate audience growth, and turn our YouTube ecosystem into a high-performing lead generation engine, while staying true to our human-first mission.
