Have questions?

A geographic number is a telephone number whose digit structure contains geographic significance. Geographic numbers are tied to a particular city or region, such as London or Madrid, etc.

Mobile numbers are numbers that are usually used in cell phones and linked to SIM cards. CloudTalk offers Mobile Numbers in a handful of countries. These numbers are not linked to any SIM card and can be used in the same way as Local Numbers and National Numbers.

Unlike geographic phone numbers, national phone numbers are not tied to a particular local area. Pricing for making phone calls from CloudTalk on a national number is the same as if it was a local number. Placing calls into a national CloudTalk phone number should be charged by the carrier the same way a local call would be charged. However, each carrier around the world determines its own pricing policies.

Also called freephone numbers, these are telephone numbers that are billed for all receiving calls instead of incurring charges to the originating telephone subscriber. For the calling party, a call to a toll-free number from a landline or mobile is free of charge. A toll-free number is identified by the dialing prefix (e.g. 800, 0800, or 1-800).

International phone numbers can be ported to CloudTalk, i.e. geographic, national or mobile numbers. For more information about porting numbers to CloudTalk, please read this article www.cloudtalk.io/number-porting.
