How CloudTalk Started
CloudTalk was founded in 2016 by Martin Malych and Viktor Vanek in Bratislava, Slovakia. The company started with a simple idea: make it easier for businesses to connect with their customers over the phone.
The initial product was an embeddable click-to-call widget. From there, CloudTalk evolved into a cloud-based business phone system designed to help sales and support teams manage their calls without relying on traditional phone infrastructure.
As customer expectations and business communication changed, so did CloudTalk's phone system.

The platform expanded beyond basic business calling to include call routing, international phone numbers, CRM integrations, call recording, analytics, and productivity tools. AI then became an increasingly important part of the product, bringing capabilities such as AI Voice Agents, call scoring, sentiment analysis, topic extraction, and AI-powered workflows into the calling experience.

There is a 14-day free trial with no credit card required, and AI voice agents include 50 free minutes so you can test one before paying. After the trial, paid plans start at $25 per user per month billed annually.
Business phone system plans start at $25 per user per month on annual billing (Starter). Phone numbers start at $6 a month. AI voice agents are priced on usage: AI Receptionist starts free for the first 50 minutes, and AI Specialist starts at $349 a month for 1,000 minutes, dropping to about $0.15 a minute at high volume. Add-ons include AI Conversation Intelligence at $9 per user per month.
