Acefone Alternatives: 10 Best in 2026, G2 Rated

You bought Acefone because the seat price looked unbeatable and the India coverage was real. Then you tried to add a two-person team in Manchester, found that every published plan carries a five to seven seat floor, and learned that unlimited calling stops at the Indian border. That is usually the moment your VoIP phone system turns into the thing holding the team back. This guide ranks the best Acefone alternatives on published pricing, seat minimums, integration depth and G2 ratings, and says plainly where each one fits.

SUMMARY:

TL;DR: The 10 Best Alternatives to Acefone

CloudTalk takes the top spot because it fixes the two things Acefone buyers hit first: you can start with a single seat, and CloudTalk's pricing is published in US dollars on every tier. Below that, the list is ranked by which kind of Acefone switcher each tool serves.

What Did We Find Comparing 10 Alternatives to Acefone?

According to Salesforce's 2025 State of Service report, based on a survey of 6,500 service professionals, half of all service cases are expected to be resolved by AI by 2027, up from 30% in 2025.1 That is the horizon your next phone system has to survive, and it's a hard one to hit on a platform that sells conversational analytics as a separate line item on every tier.

The immediate problem is usually smaller and more expensive than that. WhatsApp is 200 rupees a seat. Extra channels sell in pairs at 600 rupees each. Advanced Insights, the reporting layer that would tell you which campaigns and agents are working, is an add-on on both paid tiers. And if you're buying from London or Dubai, there's no list price to check at all: the country switcher is there, but only the India pane carries numbers.

Most teams respond by bolting on channels and buying the second Acefone product line, which raises the bill without lowering the minimum headcount. We put 10 platforms like Acefone through the same six benchmarks, from what a seat really costs once the add-ons land to how far the number coverage reaches. CloudTalk came out on top for most sales and support teams.

Why Are Teams Searching for an Acefone Alternative?

Acefone, formerly Servetel, is a competent India-first provider of cloud telephony solutions, and for an India-based contact centre with 20 agents it can be a sensible buy. The pressure shows up when a team is smaller than the plan, or when the calling moves outside India. Everything below comes from Acefone's own published pricing and product pages rather than from opinion, because that's the evidence we can stand behind.

6 Main Cons of Acefone That Send Teams Looking for a Replacement

1. You can't buy a small deployment.

Contact Center Studio Professional carries a minimum of six seats, Ultra five, and Interactions Hub Professional seven users and 14 channels. A four-agent team pays for six. That floor is the most common reason a growing team starts pricing an Acefone replacement.

2. The add-on stack does the real damage.

WhatsApp costs 200 rupees per seat per month. Extra channels are 600 rupees each and only sell in multiples of two. Advanced Platform Security is 500 rupees per seat, video calling is an add-on on Professional, SMS and email are capped at 500 a month on that tier, and Advanced Insights is an add-on on both paid tiers.

3. The integration library is narrow.

Acefone's own directory lists roughly a dozen customer relationship management (CRM) and productivity connectors plus a set of voicebot partners, with 20+ claimed on the homepage. If your revenue data lives in HubSpot, Pipedrive or an ATS, check that list before you sign anything.

4. Voice and channels are two different products.

Contact Center Studio handles calling; Interactions Hub handles WhatsApp, SMS and video. They're priced separately and each carries its own seat minimum, so covering one job can mean buying two subscriptions.

5. Buying and support are gated.

Acefone pricing outside India isn't published at all. The country switcher offers the USA, Canada, the UK, Australia and the UAE, but only the India pane is populated, so every other buyer goes through sales to see a number. Round-the-clock chat comes with both paid tiers; round-the-clock phone support is reserved for Ultra.

6. Usage is metered the moment you leave India.

Unlimited calling applies within India only. Toll-free numbers are metered too: minutes sell in bundles from 4,500 rupees for 3,000 minutes to 60,000 rupees for 50,000, with overage from 1.25 to 1.60 rupees a minute. Extra DIDs cost 100 rupees a month, virtual and toll-free numbers 500, mobile CLI 500, and holding recordings past 12 months adds 100 rupees per seat on top of a window that starts at three months.

Acefone is still a fair fit for one profile: an India-based team of six or more that calls almost entirely within India, wants an INR invoice, and values the ISO 27001 and Cert-In certification. If that's you, the rest of this page is optional reading.

What Is the Best Alternative to Acefone?

CloudTalk is the best Acefone alternative for sales and support teams that call across borders. CloudTalk starts at $25/user/month on Starter, with a one-user minimum and the price published in US dollars in every market. CloudTalk covers local numbers in 160+ countries instead of one home market, behind a 99.999% uptime guarantee against Acefone's published 99.5%. IVR (interactive voice response) and skill-based routing come with Starter rather than being sold upward.

5 Reasons Teams Pick CloudTalk as Their Acefone Replacement

1. You buy the team you have.

Starter and Essential start at a single user, and only Expert asks for three. That removes the five to seven seat floor that pushes most small teams off Acefone in the first place.

2. The price on the page is the price.

Every tier is listed in US dollars: $25/user/month on Starter, $29 on Essential, $49 on Expert. Add-ons carry their own published prices, so finance can model year one before a sales call rather than after it, wherever you're buying from.

3. Your CRM record updates itself.

From Essential, CloudTalk connects to 95+ CRM, helpdesk and ATS tools with two-way sync of contacts, calls, recordings, AI summaries and tags, click-to-call inside the partner interface, and screen-pops on inbound calls. Against a directory of roughly 20 connectors, that's a different order of coverage.

4. Voice and messaging live in one workspace.

International SMS and MMS arrive with Essential and WhatsApp with Expert, and all of it sits next to recordings, transcripts, summaries and analytics instead of in a second product with its own seat floor. Call flows are built on the Call Flow Designer: a drag-and-drop canvas with 19 actions, branching logic, failover rules and edits that don't interrupt live calls.

5. Calling is global by default.

Local numbers in 160+ countries run on a multi-carrier network with a decentralised SIP architecture, so local presence in London or Dubai is a number purchase rather than a regional contract. Expert carries the widest included calling bundles of the three tiers.

How We Chose the Best Acefone Alternatives and Competitors

We build these lists the same way every time, and we tell you where the evidence stops. We scored every Acefone competitor here against six benchmarks. They are call stability and the infrastructure behind it, total cost including add-ons rather than the headline seat price, CRM sync depth, global number footprint, support responsiveness and onboarding, and how much AI productivity you get for the money.

What We Verified and What We Could Not

Plan prices, seat minimums, add-on charges and trial terms were read off each vendor's own pricing page on 26 August 2026, cross-checked against G2's pricing listings and, where the primary page had no usable numbers, each vendor's own published pricing guides. 3CX is the exception: its per-system licensing is mid-restructure right now, and the edition names and starting price don't line up cleanly across sources.

How we handle sourcing, corrections and vendor relationships is set out in our content integrity statement, and the scoring itself follows our software review methodology.

Quick Comparison: Top Acefone Alternatives at a Glance

The TL;DR table ranks the field. This one shows what actually lands on the invoice. When you shop for software like Acefone, the minimum headcount, the contract term and the metered extras move the total far more than the headline price does. Here is Acefone next to CloudTalk and four close rivals on exactly those things.

ToolSeat MinimumCommitmentUnlimited CallingMetered Extras On Top
Acefone6 (5 on Ultra, 7 on Interactions Hub)Not publishedWithin India onlyWhatsApp per seat, channels sold in pairs, toll-free bundles with per-minute overage, monthly DID and CLI fees
CloudTalk (Editor's Pick)1 user (3 on Expert)Annual or monthlyRegional bundles from Starter, widest on Expert; unlimited inside the covered region, not worldwideAI Conversation Intelligence $9/user/mo; AI Voice Agents from $99/mo; Power Dialer $15/user/mo outside Expert

On trials, the three we could verify are CloudTalk at 14 days, CallHippo at 10 days, and Acefone at 7 days with calling limited throughout. Seven restricted days isn't enough to pilot an outbound team properly, which is worth planning around.

What Are the 10 Best Tools Like Acefone?

Each profile below follows the same shape: what the tool is, where it beats Acefone, an honest pros and cons table, published pricing, and its G2 rating.

1. CloudTalk: Best Overall Acefone Alternative for Cross-Border Sales and Support

CloudTalk homepage with the headline Every ring is revenue, never miss another one with AI Voice Agents

What Is CloudTalk?

CloudTalk is AI-powered business calling and contact centre software for sales and support teams. CloudTalk replaces on-premise PBX (private branch exchange) hardware with a cloud service your team runs from a browser, desktop or mobile app, with calls, SMS, MMS and WhatsApp in one workspace alongside recordings, transcripts, summaries, tags and analytics. It's built for teams whose customers aren't all in one country.

Why Is CloudTalk a Strong Acefone Alternative?

  • No minimum headcount. One user is enough on Starter or Essential; Expert asks for three.
  • A price you can read before you talk to sales. Every plan and add-on is listed in US dollars, in every market.
  • Routing on the entry plan. IVR and skill and smart condition-based routing come with Starter, and the Call Flow Designer is on all packages.
  • Real CRM depth. 95+ CRM, helpdesk and applicant tracking system (ATS) integrations from Essential, with two-way sync, embedded click-to-call and inbound screen-pops.
  • Coverage that travels. Local numbers in 160+ countries on a multi-carrier network, behind a 99.999% uptime guarantee.

What Are the Pros and Cons of CloudTalk?

ProsCons
Starts at one seat, against Acefone's five to sevenAI Conversation Intelligence is a paid add-on, not bundled
Transparent USD list pricing on every tier, no quote gatePower Dialer is included only on Expert
Local numbers in 160+ countries with two-way CRM syncNo native video meetings, deliberate for a calling-first platform

What Are CloudTalk's Plans and Pricing?

  • Starter – $25/user/month: ring groups, call queues, Call Flow Designer, IVR, skill-based routing
  • Essential – $29/user/month: adds 95+ integrations, the API, international SMS and MMS
  • Expert – $49/user/month: adds Salesforce Ecosystem, the Smart Dialer, Power Dialer, real-time analytics, WhatsApp and the largest calling bundles
  • Custom – quote-based

The honest catch: the AI layer is priced separately. AI Conversation Intelligence is $9 per user per month billed annually, AI Voice Agents start at $99 a month for 200 minutes, and Power Dialer is $15 per user per month if you aren't on Expert. Better you see that here than in month two.

What Are CloudTalk Customers Saying?

"CloudTalk is a reliable platform for handling high call volumes," writes Ivaylo S., a recruitment manager, in a 5-star G2 review. He calls the interface "user-friendly and easy to navigate" and says the analytics "provide valuable insights into call volume, quality, and agent performance," with only "some occasional call disruptions" as a downside.

Customer story: Allycom, financial services. Allycom needed call recording that held up wherever its team dialled, and now runs 100% reliable recording across calls in 100 countries on CloudTalk. That is the shape of problem an India-only calling plan cannot solve. Read the Allycom story.

What Is RingCentral?

RingCentral is a unified communications suite covering phone, meetings, messaging and a contact centre, unpacked in our RingCentral phone system review. It suits organisations that would rather sign one contract than stitch three vendors together.

What Is Nextiva?

Nextiva is a US-focused unified communications platform bundling voice, video, SMS and team chat, with contact centre tiers above it, as our Nextiva phone system review sets out. It targets small businesses that want one bill for everything.

10. 3CX: Best for IT-Managed Teams That Want to Own the Deployment

What Is 3CX?

3CX is a software-based, open-standards IP PBX you can self-host or have managed for you, and our 3CX phone system review covers the deployment trade-off. It's licensed per system rather than per seat, which changes the maths when headcount grows faster than call volume.

Why Is 3CX a Strong Acefone Alternative?

  • Per-system licensing means adding a user doesn't add a seat charge.
  • Self-hosting keeps call data and recordings on infrastructure you control.
  • Contact centre features come with the higher editions, not a second product.

What Are the Pros and Cons of 3CX?

ProsCons
Priced per system, not per seatSomeone on your side has to own the deployment
Self-hosting option for data controlEdition names and starting price are mid-restructure right now
Open-standards PBX with wide handset supportLess turnkey than a hosted SaaS phone system

What Are 3CX's Plans and Pricing?

3CX licenses per system rather than per seat. Its price list is being restructured right now, so we're not publishing a specific starting price until it's confirmed.

Two rows are worth reading twice. Acefone's voicebot is genuinely included, where CloudTalk sells AI Voice Agents as an add-on. That is a real point in Acefone's favour and the one place its packaging beats CloudTalk's. The messaging row cuts the other way: on Acefone, WhatsApp is a per-seat charge and extra channels sell in pairs, while on CloudTalk messaging moves with the plan tier rather than with the invoice line count.

How to Choose the Right Acefone Alternative for Your Team

Five questions decide this, and they are not the ones vendors put on their comparison pages.

1. How Many Seats Will You Actually Pay For?

Count the licences you need this quarter, not this year, then check the minimum. Most small business VoIP plans bill per seat, so the floor is the number that decides your invoice. Acefone starts at six on its main contact centre plan, Ringover at three with a 12-month commitment, JustCall at two. CloudTalk and CallHippo will sell you one. For a four-person team that gap is a third of the invoice before anyone dials.

2. Where Do Your Calls Actually Land?

Pull last quarter's call log and sort by country code. If 90% is domestic Indian traffic, Acefone's unlimited domestic calling is hard to beat and you should think twice about moving. If there's a real tail outside India, you're buying metered minutes with per-number monthly fees on top, and country coverage stretching to 160+ markets changes the arithmetic. Yanolja, the travel and hospitality group, cut missed calls by 30 to 40% after switching to CloudTalk, once local numbers stopped being the bottleneck.

3. How Deep Does the CRM Sync Need to Go?

There's a real difference between a connector that writes a call log and one that syncs both ways. Ask whether contacts, recordings, tags and AI summaries land on the record automatically, whether you can dial from inside the CRM, and whether an inbound call pops the right contact. CloudTalk covers 95+ CRM, helpdesk and ATS tools from Essential, Zoho CRM and HubSpot among them.

4. What Will the AI Layer Cost in Year One?

Every vendor here prices AI differently, and almost none of it is free. Acefone bundles its voicebot but charges for Advanced Insights on both tiers. CloudTalk prices AI Conversation Intelligence at $9 per user per month, and its AI voice agent pricing starts at $99 a month. JustCall's voice agent also starts at $99 a month, Ringover's at $0.19 a minute. Model 12 months at real headcount before comparing headline prices.

5. Who Owns the System After Go-Live?

If you have IT capacity and want control of the infrastructure, 3CX's per-system licensing and self-hosting are cheaper at scale. If you don't, a hosted platform where number ordering, routing changes and number porting are self-serve costs less in staff time than it saves in licence fees.

Ready to Make the Switch from Acefone?

Switching to a new cloud phone system is not free, and nobody does it because a comparison table told them to. They do it when the plan stops matching the size of the team, when the calls stop being domestic, or when the finance team asks why the add-ons cost more than the licences. If any of those sound like your last quarter, the move is worth costing out properly: a single seat, a price you can read in dollars, routing on the entry plan, and 14 days to prove it works before you commit.

Frequently Asked Questions About Acefone Alternatives

Same company. Servetel rebranded to Acefone on 13 February 2025 under parent Real Time Data Services. The name survives as "Servetel (by Acefone)" and old Servetel portals kept running, so both routes sell the same India-first stack, right down to the Indian virtual numbers attached to it.

It depends where you call from. If you are in India, past the six-seat floor and calling mostly domestic numbers, Acefone is a reasonable buy, ISO 27001 and Cert-In certified. Smaller teams, or ones with international traffic, hit the six-seat floor and metered minutes once they evaluate VoIP pricing on total cost.

You cannot compare them cleanly. Acefone publishes INR prices only and routes every other market to sales. RingCentral's entry tier runs $20 per user per month and Dialpad's $15, both in USD, but Vonage's pricing isn't covered here. Expect the wall you hit researching RingCentral alternatives.

CloudTalk at $25/user/month is the cheapest virtual phone system here that starts at one seat with routing included. CallHippo has a free tier and $18 paid entry, though the minutes are metered separately at $0.25 each. Ringover's $15 needs three users and a 12-month term.

Both are India-first providers, so neither is really an international platform; Exotel leans more toward programmable messaging and voice APIs, Acefone toward a packaged contact centre. If most of your calling sits outside India, pick a provider where getting an international phone number is self-serve.

CloudTalk, if you want the dialer connected rather than just the call logged. Its Zoho CRM integration runs the dialer against a Zoho campaign or lead list, refreshes contacts and leads overnight, and exports call dispositions mapped to Zoho call results. The integration is available from the Essential plan.

Porting is the long pole, not the software. Raise the port request with your new provider first, keep the Acefone account live until every number has moved, then rebuild routing in the new call flow builder. How long number porting takes varies by country.

Yes, with one caveat: the AI is an add-on, not a bundled feature. AI Conversation Intelligence is $9 per user per month and AI Voice Agents start at $99 a month for 200 minutes. Support is 24/7 chat and email on every plan, phone on Expert.
