Know What Every International Call Costs Before You Dial

Each plan includes a calling package for one region. International Calls outside it are billed per minute from your credit.

  1. 01
Calls to the US and Canada are unlimited on every plan, from any number, up to 10,000 minutes per user per month
  2. 02
EU, UK, Iceland and Norway packages cover domestic calls: from a number in one country to the same country
  3. 03
Starter includes 500 domestic minutes per user per month. Essential and Expert are unlimited, under fair use
  4. 04
Other calls use pay-as-you-go rates for 240+ destinations, by mobile or landline
  5. 05
Calls to European destinations cost less from an EEA or UK number

"Unlimited" follows the Fair Usage Policy: 3,000 outbound minutes per user per month by default, and 10,000 for the US and Canada. Outbound calls need a positive credit balance, even when your plan includes the minutes.

Show a Number That Fits the Country You're Calling

  2. 02
Smart Rotation spreads calls across your matching numbers, to protect them from being over-used and flagged
  3. 03
Buy local numbers in 160+ countries. Some are instant, and some need documents first
  4. 04
If you don't have a number in that country, CloudTalk uses your default number

Know How International VoIP Calling Works Before You Dial

Will My Calls Show a Local Number?

Yes, automatic caller ID picks it for you. Some countries limit which caller IDs can be shown, so ask our team about the countries you call.

What if My Minutes Don't Cover the Country?

The call is billed per minute from your credit. If you call a region often, a geographic bundle adds it to your plan minutes.

Can Someone Run Up My Bill?

Admins choose which countries the account and each number can call. High-risk destinations are blocked by default, and calls outside your package are listed in the credit export.

Do I Need Documents to Get Numbers?

In some countries, yes. Some ask for a local address or business registration, and the order form lists the documents for each country and number type.

International Calling FAQs

CloudTalk international calling lets your team call customers in other countries from the same app they use for every other call. Each plan includes a calling package for your region, and other calls are covered by a geographic bundle or billed per minute from credit.

International VoIP calling sends business calls to other countries over the internet instead of through traditional phone lines. With CloudTalk, you can call from [local numbers in 160+ countries](/international-numbers/), and automatic caller ID picks the one that matches the country you call.

Calls in your plan's calling package are included, and calls to the US and Canada are unlimited on every plan under fair use. Other calls are billed per started minute from your credit, at pay-as-you-go rates that depend on the country and on whether you call a mobile or a landline. Plans start at $25 per user/month. Ask us about geographic bundles for the regions you call.

A call is domestic when it comes from a number in the same country as the destination, such as a German number calling Germany. Domestic calls in your package are included. A Czech number calling Germany isn't domestic and is charged from credit, unless a bundle covers it.

No. The US and Canada package covers calls to both countries from any number, unlimited on every plan, up to 10,000 minutes per user per month.

Geographic bundles are add-ons that add a region's countries to your plan minutes, priced per user per month. Regions include DACH, Europe, LATAM, Asia, AU, NZ & UK, World Lite, and World. Every bundle includes unlimited US and Canada calling, and they're available for accounts with 3 or more users. Calls to EEA and UK countries in a bundle must come from an EEA or UK number.

Unlimited calling follows the Fair Usage Policy: 3,000 outbound minutes per user per month by default, and 10,000 for calls to the US and Canada. Minutes are per user, not shared across the account, and extra minutes are charged from credit.

About 90 common countries are enabled by default, and admins can enable more under Settings, International Calls. Some high-cost destinations and countries blocked for security reasons need our Support team to enable them.

No. You can call any enabled country from your numbers. A number in the destination country lets CloudTalk show a matching caller ID, and is needed for a call to count as domestic. CloudTalk has local numbers in 160+ countries.

When you have a number in the destination country and caller ID is set to Automatic, yes. Some countries restrict which caller IDs operators accept, so ask our team about the countries you call.

In some countries. Some numbers can be bought instantly in the Dashboard, while others need documents such as a local address or business registration. The order form lists the documents for each country and number type.

Yes, with limits. UAE fixed numbers with outbound calling are available in Dubai, with activation that typically takes 4 to 8 weeks and a 1-year minimum service period. See UAE local numbers for requirements.

Yes. Admins switch countries on or off for the whole account and can give any number its own list. High-risk destinations are blocked by default.

Check four things: your credit balance is positive, the country is enabled under International Calls, the number you call from is allowed to call that country, and the number is in full international format. Toll-free numbers in some countries can't make outbound calls.

Yes, in many countries. Number porting brings the numbers your customers already know to CloudTalk.
